Robert Carter Tucker, was at the time of his admission one of the younger representatives of the Kansas City bar. He was born at Higginsville, Missouri on July 21, 1893, his parents were Joseph and Rose (Goodwin) Tucker, both of whom were natives of Indiana. His father was a jeweler and followed that business throughout his active life. Robert C. Tucker was educated in the public schools of Higginsville, Missouri and in the Central High School of Kansas City prior to entering the University of Michigan, from which he graduated in 1917. He secured his law training in the Kansas City School of Law, from which he was graduated with an LL.B. degree in 1916. He attended its evening classes while working at the New England National Bank and subsequently spent a year in post-graduate work at the University of Michigan. He was admitted to the bar in Kansas City where he practiced ever since. He was associated with one of the leading law firms - that of Harding, Deatherage, Murphy & Stinson, occupying offices in the Scarritt building. While engaged in general practice, he specialized in realty and corporate practice.

Brother Tucker was a member of Ivanhoe Lodge #446. He became a 32° Mason in the Consistory of Western Missouri at the Valley of Kansas City in 1918. He served as Wise Master in the Areiopagus Chapter of Rose Croix in 1938. He was invested with the Knight Commander of the Court of Honour in 1949. He was coroneted a 33° Inspector General Honorary in 1961.
