Brother Withers was a Liberty, Missouri area farmer. He once served on the Sharp, Pleasant Valley and Withers School Districts. He donated land for the Withers School. He served two terms as Chairman of the Liberty Chamber of Commerce, was a member of Liberty Rotary and served as the first president of the Liberty Lions Club.
