Ill Brother Shapiro was a Kansas City lawyer for more than 50 years. He graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law in 1916 cum laude and served as class president. He was admitted to the bar that same year and to practice before the US Supreme Court in 1926.
Brother Shapiro excelled in Masonry as well. He both served as Venerable Master of the Lodge of Perfection and was coroneted a 33° Inspector General Honorary in 1935. He also served as Master of Kadosh of the Consistory of Western Missouri in 1943. Brother Shapiro served as Potentate of Ararat Shrine in 1938 and was a Past President of the Central States Shrine Association. He was a recipient of the Demolay Legion of Honor award.
