Occupation: Nationally known paper dealer; Owner of the Kansas City Paper House, 318 W 7th St.; President of the Paper Supply Company of Houston and the San Antonion Paper Company.

Brother Jones was the owner of the Kansas City Paperhouse, 318 West 7th Street. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Scottish Rite at the time of his death and served as president of the board through the years of raising funds for and the construction of the Scottish Rite building at Linwood and Paseo. Brother Jones was known for having provided financial assistance to underprivileged youth through high school and college.

Brother Ellis died at his home at 5800 State Line Road at 61 years of age, five years into his retirement. His 4 acre garden around his home was believed to have the most complete collection of outdoor plants in the Midwest and had won him many prizes. His funeral services were held at the Scottish Rite Building at Linwood and The Paseo. Interred: Mount Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, Jackson County, MO.
