Ill Brother Dunton attended Hillsdale College graduating in 1879. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Michigan in 1881. He practiced medicine for 9 years in Michigan and one year in California before retiring from his practice for medical reasons. He moved to Kansas City where he opened a drug store as a pharmacist. He was a past master of Rural Lodge #316, a member of Ararat Shrine and a Knight Templar. He operated a drug store after retiring from his work as a physician. Brother Dunton passed away two weeks after his wife died.
