Illustrious Brother Abraham Mussallem was born in Mt Lebanon, Syria. He first came to the United States with his cousins when he was 14 years old. He petitioned to and was raised a Mason at Paris Union Lodge #19, Paris, Missouri on July 13, 1900. He was then made a 32° Master of the Royal Secret at the Valley of Quincy, Illinois NMJ in 1902.

He traveled to Syria where he was made a 33° Mason by the Supreme Council of the Ottoman Empire. While in Syria he served as Worshipful Master of the Liberty and Moderation Lodge #13, Venerable Master of the Lodge of Perfection, Wise Master of the Chapter of Rose Croix all located in Zahlah, Mt Lebanon and as Deputy Grand Master of Syria. He was member of all the Grand Bodies of the Syrian and Ottoman Empires and was Grand Correspondent in the United States for the Supreme Council of Egypt. He returned to the United States after his seven year stay in Syria. Following his return the Supreme Council, SMJ also conferred the 33° upon him in 1941.

He became a member of Macon Chapter #22 RAM of which he is a past High Priest, Trenton Council #22 of Trenton, MO. Emmanuel Commandery #7 of which he was a past Emminent Commander. He was a long standing member of the Macon Presbyterian Church and a successful physician specializing in the eye.
