Brother Fred C. Hoose (Mar 4, 1868 - Mar 12, 1952) was vice-president of the Norris Grain Company of Kansas City, Missouri and associated with the Board of Trade.

While residing in Kansas City brother Hoose played parts in theater roles at the old Kansas City Theater and the Orpheum Theater. After he retired to Los Angeles, California in 1938 at age 70 he found himself successfully pursuing acting roles. He picked up roles as a character actor in western movies working with better known actors such as Hoot Gibson, Ken Maynard, John Wayne, Roy Rogers, Smiley Burnett and Charles Barrett. Brother Hoose died in California at age 84.
