Mr. Kreeger was born in 1856 on a farm near Lone Jack. He attended the country schools of this vicinity and attended the University of Missouri, studying law.

He was a schoolteacher in Jackson County until he married Georgia Mock Hallar, daughter of Dr. David Mock, in 1883. That year he moved to Independence and became a deputy sheriff.

He later entered the United States Customs service in Kansas City and became head of the customs office there. Mr. Kreeger had been living at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Nathan S. Hendrix, 3217 Windsor Avenue, Kansas City, for two years previous to his death Monday. 
 
Robert R. Kreeger, 85 years old, past grand master of Missouri Masons and a life-long resident of Jackson County died at Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City. Services were held at Melrose Methodist Church, 200 North Bales Avenue, Kansas City. Burial was at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
